shinzi katoh

my sister got me a roll of shinzi katoh's decorative tape for christmas, and since then i've been obsessed with the japanese artist's adorable designs. after a little googling, i found that his illustrations are used on tons of great products, from super cute craft supplies to fun and functional kitchen wares.

i am totally in love with this "tea for two" set... isn't it just so charming?

i'm also a big fan of the "deux mug," a set of two stacking mugs... perfect for my husband (a coffee drinker) and me (a tea drinker)!

see a huge array of shinzi katoh's designs in his online shop.

stroke of genius... the kuza strap

every now and then an idea comes along that's so simple and smart, i can't help but wonder why no one thought of it before. the kuza strap is one of those ideas.

i love the jeans-tucked-into-boots look, especially in the springtime when wet weather can strike at any time. but only the skinniest of skinny jeans will stay put without doing that annoying bunching-around-the-knees thing. enter kuza... just clip one of the colorful little straps to the hem of your jeans and voilà! an instant stirrup that keeps your jeans neatly tucked in all day long.

click here to buy yourself a cute set of kuza straps... and for a limited time, save 10% when you use the code spring10!

stuff i want . . . paris map by cavallini

if you're like me, you're always looking for great artwork to fill up the empty spaces on your walls. i tend to shy away from large pieces of art because i can't justify spending a month's rent on a painting. even if you do splurge on a great piece, you have to pay for a ridiculously expensive custom frame on top of that.

this lovely paris map by cavallini is an exception... at 20 by 28 inches, it is big enough to make a serious impact, but you won't believe the price! because it is intended for use as wrapping paper, this baby is available at paper source for only $3.95. that's right... $3.95!! at that price, you can afford to splurge on a custom frame and have a beautiful, one of a kind piece of art for your home.

fleux

my husband and i decided that if we ever struck it rich and moved to paris, we would furnish our apartment entirely with items purchased at fleux. during our stay in paris last september, i fell in love with this unique, playful home decor shop in the marais. everything in the shop is just so cool... from custom painted furniture to fun, colorful pillows to witty pantone mug sets. next time you're in paris, i highly recommend a stop here... bet you can't leave without buying something!

fleux is located at 39 rue sainte-croix de la bretonnerie in the 4th arrondissement of paris.

jennifer causey photography

i love jennifer causey's photography. there is something so simple and beautiful about the way she composes her shots. her food photography is especially delicious... you can see tons more of it on her blog simply breakfast (warning... this *will* make you hungry!). she also has another blog called simply photo, a flickr page, and an etsy shop to feast your eyes on :)
